There are lots of reasons why pandas are going extinct and not surprisingly lots of them are caused by us humans! But some of them are caused by mother nature herself…
- In the early 1980s there was a scarcity of bamboo which caused lots of pandas to die.
- Another cause that is related to the panda ecosystem is that we are cutting into their wild habitats and using their space for other things. The majority of all the giant pandas left in the world live in China. Many of them in the wild, but now that the space they have is more scarce more and more pandas are being found in the wild and not all by trustworthy people that are willing to take them to zoos.
- Thirdly, farmers in China are cutting down the bamboo that the pandas eat to use for household items and in food and so on.
In conclusion, there are lots of things that pandas need to survive that are scarce. Space and food are the two main things that are scarce.
